"Ask a Lawyer" @ Galena Park Branch

Do you have legal questions or need help understanding important legal issues? We have a solution for you. Angela D. Johnson, Attorney at Law will be offering free legal help this Saturday, February 27th from 11 am - 12:30 pm in our Meeting Room. Angela D. Johnson will be answering legal questions and addressing issues that are important to the community.  You cannot let the opportunity to receive free legal guidance go by. 

Adult Craft- Mandalas

Mandalas are cosmic diagrams that represent wholeness and our relation to the infinite. Come join us this Thursday, February 11th at 10 am for our adult craft program. We will be painting mandalas out of recycled CDs. Hope to see you there!

Teen Time: Valentine Pillow

Calling all TEENS! Do you have a special someone this Valentine's Day and do not know what to give them? Well, Galena Park Library has you covered! Come hand make a pillow for your Valentine or just for yourself too. All material will be provided for FREE. This program is recommended for ages 12-17 only. Get Active/Activate

Do you want to become more active and get in shape but you are limited on time? Don’t worry, we have a solution for you that will only take 35 minutes. We are now offering 2 morning indoor walking exercises programs in addition to our weekly afternoon program. Morning sessions are Thursday, January 4th and Thursday, January 18th at 10 am. Afternoon sessions are every Wednesday at 4 pm. So don’t delay, grab your tennis shoes and join us in the Galena Park Library meeting room for some exercise fun!

Chronicles of Yarnia

Would you like to learn how to knit or crochet? Or do you have a knitting and crocheting project but would like to join a group for new ideas? Then come join our Chronicles of Yarnia knitting and crocheting program at the Galena Park Library meeting room this Thursday at 10 am. You may bring your own needles, hooks and yarn or some will be provided while supplies last. This program is designed for adults. 

Family Movie Time

Adult Craft Program

Do you like to be creative and enjoy crafts? Then, join us at the Galena Park Branch Library  meeting room for our Adult Craft Program. We will be making a dazzling crystal candle holder to light up the New Year. This program is designed for adults 18 and up. All material will be provided while supplies last. Hope to see you there!

Beyond the Book- Book Club

Do you like to read and discuss books? Then join the Galena Parks Book Club! For the month of January we will be reading “The Paris Architect” by Charles Belfoure. A thrilling story set in Paris in 1942, where a talented architect accepts a well paid architectural project that might get him killed. He must design a secret hiding place for a Jewish man so invisible that even the most cleaver and determined Nazi will not be able to see.

Mindbenders

Hey kids!! Do you need some help or just some quiet time for your homework?! We have the thing for you, MINDBENDERS! Come after school from 3-4pm to get a little help, whether you need a pencil, glue, colors or even a quick print out we got you covered. This program is recommended for school age children. See program calendar for dates.
