Scatterbug Robots

Tomorrow, Wednesday October 11th at 4pm we will be making another robot! This week's robot is a scatterbug. He's sure to scatter around and scare parents! What a perfect robot for Halloween! Registration isn't required. Join us in our meeting room for tons of Robotics fun.

Saturday Morning Cartoons!

Saturdays have always been reserved for staying in your pjs and watching cartoons all morning. Here at High Meadows, we would like to bring that tradition back. 

Join us on Saturday, October 21st from 10am to 12pm for Saturday Morning Cartoons! We will be showing cartoons from the 80s and 90s. All ages are welcome!

Citizenship Classes

 

Our Citizenship Class is currently in full effect here at High Meadows. Teachers, Sharon, Maria, and Monica, are already looking to the future and planning next year's first session which will start in January. If you are interested in attending the current class, come by on Wednesdays and/or Thursdays at 10am. 

During Citizenship classes, you will learn the steps to becoming a U.S. Citizen and staff will also help prep you for the citizenship test.

Teen Book Club: Halloween Edition

Join us on Wednesday, October 18th at 3pm for our Teen Book Club. 

Our October title is "Anna Dressed in Blood" by Kendare Blake. Copies are available to check out in our Teen Section. Stop on by to check out your copy today.

Adults 18+ please join us to create a paper sugar-skull garland on Wednesday, September 27 at 4:00pm. Supplies are limited, so be sure to get here early!

Book Club: The Woman in Cabin 10 by Ruth Ware

On Wednesday, October 11 at 11:00 am our “A Novel Idea” book club convenes again to discuss “The Woman in Cabin 10” by Ruth Ware. Enjoy light refreshments as you immerse yourself in lively discussion of the work and general social interaction.

Our thanks to the ASPCA and North East Houston Help who have been kind enough to donate emergency supplies for flood victims. While supplies last, stop by High Meadows Branch Library to pick up cleaning & hygiene items, food, and pet supplies.
