We're Impressed! Way to Go!

Total people registered with the program - 567

Total number of books read - 5,787

Total minutes of reading logged in - 145,174

You have a week and a half left to log in your reading and pick up your prizes.


Teens and tweens join us for our last summer program as we party with games, snacks, and crafts.  We’ll have the Dance 4 wii as well as other games and a craft table.  For ages 10 and up.


Teens and tweens test your superhero knowledge on Monday, July 27 at 2:30 p.m.  Challenge yourself or as a team with our superhero jeopardy game.  We’ll also have a craft table as well as snacks, so come join the fun.  For ages 10 and up.


The Katy Library will be hosting an art camp the week of July 27.  Participants will create various art projects taught by an MFAH artist.  The camp is for ages 6 to 12 and will be held Monday through Friday from 10:00 to noon each day with a visit to the museum on Friday.  Call the library at 281-391-3509 for more information.

Teens join us Monday, July 13, at 2:30 p.m. for a movie featuring a band of high-tech superheroes.  And, of course, there will be plenty of snacks.  For ages 10 and up.

Upcoming Computer Classes

Computer Class   - courtesy of Clcker.comOur computer classes are on a regular schedule now - Monday mornings at 10:30am and Wednesday evenings at either 4:30pm or 6:00pm.  And watch starting in August for a Saturday computer class once a month.  Topics for this coming week are Beginner's Microsoft Word 2013 and Computers 102.  Click here to see more of our upcoming events.

Tabletop Water Fountains

Water fountain courtesy of clker.comNo garden (or office) is complete without a little water feature to add to the visual and audible beauty of the area.  Come to our Garden Club on Thursday, 7/09 at 11:00am to learn how to make a tabletop water fountain of your own for very little money.  


Celebrate Independence Day at Katy’s Freedom Festival starting at 9:00 a.m. at the VFW Park, 6202 George Bush Drive. The free event will include a fire house tour, water hose playtime, free hot dogs, and many other kid friendly activities.  Stick around and watch the fireworks display which will start around 9:30 p.m.
