  Join us at No Label Brewery on Tuesday, September 19th at 8:00pm as we discuss "The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks" by Rebecca Skloot. Join us for beer, books, and bonding.   Please bring your own lawn chair to the book club as seating is limited. Outside food and non-alcoholic drinks are welcome. See you then!

I could not return my library materials because I could not reach the library due to high water. Am I still responsible for the late fees? 

If you return your books by September 15, you will not accrue late fees.

Bring Your Own Bagged Lunch Book Club

Adult Summer Reading Program winner 2017

Congratulations to Michelle, one of our local Katy Branch Library customers who won the Fantasy Package for the Adult Summer Reading Program this year. She won a great book and tickets to the Texas Renaissance Festival. 

Summer Reading Prizes

We had a great summer at the Katy Branch Library!  There were lots of fun programs and so many people participated in our summer reading program, "Build a Better World."  If you participated and have not picked up your prizes, you have until Saturday, August 19th to get your prizes.  We still have plenty left so come on down!

Wild Things Zoofari

Wild Things Zoofari , Tuesday, August 1st, at 2:30pm, will be our last program of the summer. There will be several animals on hand, and they will be educating us about the various animals and their habitats and what we can to help preserve the lifestyle of each animal.  Tickets are required and will be handed out starting at 1:30 pm(an hour before the program starts.)  Please get here early, as this program will fill up and space is extremely limited!

BUILD A BETTER DIET

Would you like to find out more about proper nutrition to improve your health and stamina?  The Katy Branch Library will host a program on Thursday, July 27 at 3:00 p.m. to help you get started.  A local nutritionist will help you plan the right kind of eating plan to improve your health.

Texas Snakes and More

Texas Snakes and More will be at the Katy Branch on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 at 2:30 pm.  Mr. Clint will educate and entertain us and discuss various myths about snakes in general.  Participants will be able to touch and interact with a variety of non venomous snakes.

This program is intended for school age children and all children' MUST be able to go into the program without an adult.  All children will need a ticket to enter and the tickets will be handed out starting at 1:30 pm.  Space is limited so get here early!

KATY LIBRARY BOOK SALE

The Friends of the Katy Library will hold a summer book sale on Saturday, July 22 from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Stop by the library for some great bargains.  Adult hardbacks will sell for $1.00 each, paperbacks for 50 cents, and all children’s books will be 3 for $1.00.
