Teen Button Battle - Aug 7-19

Legos versus Minecraft? Which will win? You decide! Come by the teen area at any time between August 7-19 to pick up your button that casts your vote.

What is a button battle? It’s where teens vote on two or more of their favorite fandoms by taking a button they can pin to a backpack or anything else. The fandom that has the most buttons taken (aka “votes”), they are the one that wins!

Little Buddies Needed!

Hello everyone. In my previous post, I discussed the Book Buddies program here at Kingwood Library and our need for adult volunteeers to read to children. I am happy to announce we have enough adult volunteers. However, at this point we don't have enough children signed up! We now need Little Buddy volunteers!

Parents, if you have Little Buddies (children in K-3rd grades) who you want to develop a love for reading, please stop by the Children's Desk to get them signed up. We are accepting applications until Aug. 28th. The program will begin on Sept. 12th, 2017. Trained adult volunteers will meet with your child for 10 weeks for 45 minutes of shared reading.

Thank you for your interest!

Book Buddies Program Returns

The Book Buddies program is returning to Kingwood Library! Book Buddies is a FREE program that brings children and adults together to share the joy of reading. It pairs trained adult volunteers with children (ages K-3rd) for 10 weeks. Buddies will meet once a week for 45 minutes of shared reading.

Kingwood Library is now accepting applications for Book Buddies volunteers until Aug. 28th. The program will begin on Sept. 12th, 2017. Apply at the children's desk!
