Talk It Up! American Marriage

Join us for coffee and a lively book discussion in the Conference Room on Monday, June 18th from 7:00 - 8:45 PM. We will be discussing "An American Marriage" by Tayari Jones. The story concerns newlyweds Celestial and Roy, the living embodiment of the New South. The couple is settling into the routine of their life together when Roy is sent to prison for a crime he didn't commit. An insightful look into the lives of people who are bound and separated by forces beyond their control. 

Yarnspirations: Right Around the Corner


If you missed the first go around of Yarnspirations, Cheer Up! Another knitting and crochet session is just around the  corner.  Mark your calendar for July 10, 2018 at 10:00 AM. Bring your own creations and see some new ones from other knit and crochet enthusiasts.  Be a part of a the SAGE Adventure.  

SAGE Program events are free and no registration is required. Refreshments are provided by the Friends of Library Kingwood (FOLK). Please contact he Kingwood Branch Library at 281-360-6804 for further information.

This Week at the Library

Week two of the Summer Reading Program at the Kingwood Library! This Tuesday we have our regularly scheduled Toddler Time @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM. Lapsit Storytime is @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. Preschool Storytime will be @ 11 AM on Wednesday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 AM where you can enjoy stories and a craft with your whole family! Tickets required upon entry for all storytimes. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

MONDAY we have our Summer Kick Off Party @ 6 PM. There will be information about the Summer Reading Program, places to get signed up online, and a movie on the lawn @ 7:15 PM. Bring a blanket, and some bug spray, and sing along with us!
