Teen Lock-In Permission Slip

Our annual Teen Lock-In is just a couple of weeks away, but the permission slip is available now!

Ready to sing along to your favorite Broadway hits at our annual Teen Lock-In? Stay after hours at the library and sing your favorites from Hamilton, Wicked, and more. Plus, enjoy some fun crafts and games. The lock-in will be on Friday, August 3, from 6:30-8:30 PM, in the Meeting Room.

Permission Slip is required. Permission slips can be picked up from the upstairs reference desk starting on Monday, July 16, and must be turned in by 6:00 PM on Wednesday, August 1 (2 days before the Lock-In!).

For teens and tweens entering grades 6-12.

This Week at the Library

Week seven of the Summer Reading Program at the Kingwood Library! This Tuesday we WILL NOT be having our regularly scheduled Toddler Time @ 10 AM and @ 10:30 AM. Lapsit Storytime is @ 11:15 AM on Tuesday and @ 11 AM on Thursday. Preschool Storytime will be @ 11 AM on Wednesday. We also have our Family Storytime presented on Saturday @ 10:30 AM where you can enjoy stories and a craft with your whole family! Tickets required upon entry for all storytimes. Pick up your free ticket at the Children's Reference Desk before entering your story time. Tickets will be given to the first 30 children and their caregivers the day of the scheduled event.

SAGE: Explore Your Digital Library!

Do you need help with downloading your apps? Come explore your digital library! Let us get together to learn how to download applications to your smartphone or tablet.  On July 24, 2018 at 10 - 11 am in the Computer Lab, we will discuss four proguctivity apps that are integrated in everyday living.  Registration is required!

Blood Drive at Kingwood Library

String Instrument Workshop

Adults, the #KingwoodLibrary has a special treat for you. You are invited join us on Thursday 7/12 at 2 pm in the Meeting Room to learn how to make string instruments & enjoy some music with Master Luthier Geoff Ugent. Mystery Book Club at Kingwood Library

On Wed 7/11 join the Mystery Book Club @#KingwoodLibrary from 7-8:45 PM in the upstairs conference room. Discuss any of Jacqueline Winspeare's Maisie Dobbs series. Set in England in the early 1930's & continuing through WWII, Maisie sets out on her own as a private investigator.

SAGE: Yarnspirations!

Join SAGE tomorrow (Tues 7/10) from 10 AM to 12 PM in the Meeting Room for Yarnspirations. Design and share your own knit & crochet projects! Crochet or knit in the company of other enthusiasts. Yarn, pattern samples, & refreshments provided by F.O.L.K. No registration required.
