Building a Better World

The 2017 Summer Reading Program is around the corner! " Kingwood Library is having a super SRP Summer Kick-Off on Monday, June 5th at 6 PM that will feature the screening of a movie outdoors.

The theme of this year's SRP is "Build a Better World." In order to build a better world must we not begin with ourselves? This article from bestcounselingschools.org features the 50 best self-help books of all-time. Included in the list are some classic self-help reads together with some newer titles. Check out the list and then check out our online catalog to request some titles in print, audio, or electronic formats.

Book Discussion

The Library invites you to a lively  BOOK DISCUSSION.  This month's book selection is Bull Mountain by Brian Panowich. A multigenerational saga set in the mountains of north Georgia, where the Burroughs family has been running shine, pot, and meth for decades. Rogue son Clayton Burroughs has become a local sheriff to keep what peace he can, until an ATF agent who's not quite what he seems throws a wrench into the works.

Join us on June 19, 2017, at 7:00 p.m. in the 2nd floor Conference Room for coffee & conversation!

The Kingwood Book Club meets every 3rd Monday of each month. Refreshments are provided by F.O.L.K. (Friends of the Library Kingwood).
