Thursday and Friday at the Little Blue Library

Thursday, Dec 6 we had 3D Snowflakes Spectacular.  In the spirit of the season, and since it rarely snows here, we made 3D snowflakes to hang up anywhere and everywhere we can.  This program was for ages 11 to 18 years, but even the parents had a great time!  Now, today is Friday, Dec 7 and we will have our ESL class taught by Teresa Allen at 1 pm in the Mercer Botanic Center.  The address there is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, please call Cindy at 832-927-5480.  This class is free to the public and is a service provided to the community members that would like to learn English.  No registration is necessary.  To see what programs we have coming up, check out our events calendar at hcpl.net, or come by and see us at the Little Blue Library.&nb

Wednesday at The Little Blue Library

Monday at Baldwin Boettcher's Little Blue Library

Today is Monday, Dec 3rd and we have a busy day at the Little Blue Library.  We have Story Time in the Gardens at 10:30 am.  Today the theme is hibernation.  It takes place under the Tree House and is for ages 2 to 6 years.  Then at 4 pm we have DIY Snow Globes.  It is for ages 6 to 11 years and will also take place under the Tree House.  The title speaks for itself.  We will be making Snow Globes.  Come join us!  In the evening at 6 pm, we will have ESL with our beloved Cindy Groover.  It is a free class, and no registration is necessary.  It will take place at the Mercer Botanic Center.  The address is 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, please call Cindy at 832-927-5480.  To see what programs we have coming up, please che

Thursday we had our teen/tweens program at 3:30 pm under the Tree House.  We have been celebrating Harry Potter all month, and this Thursday was part 4 with “Stop Motion Animation”- Magic.  We tested our creativity and mad picture taking skills and had a great time.  Friday we had our ESL class with Teresa Allen in the Mercer Botanic Center at 1 pm.  It is located at 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the location, please call Cindy at 832-927-5480.   Then at 3:30 we had our Citizenship Class.

Monday at The Little Blue Library

Yesterday was a busy day at the Little Blue Library.  At 10:30 am we had Story Time in the Gardens.  It is for ages 2 to 6 years and takes place under the Tree House.  This week’s theme was Glaciers.  Then at 4 pm we had our Tween Readers Club for ages 9 to 12 years.  Each month we read a book and then meet to talk about it and eat some wonderful treats.  Next month the book will be, “The Miscalculations of Lightning Girl” by Stacy McAnulty.  If you can survive a bolt of lightning, you can survive middle school right?

Thanksgiving Holiday Hours

This week at The Little Blue Library we have some programs on Monday.  We had our Story Time in the Gardens at 10:30 am, and we will have ESL with Cindy at 6 pm.  It will take place in the Mercer Botanic Center.  It is located at 22540 Aldine Westfield Rd.  For more information on the directions please call Cindy at 832-927-5480.  We will not have our Spin-a-Yarn meeting, or our Word Crafters on Wednesday.  All other usual programs for the week will not be scheduled.  We will be closing at 5 pm on Wednesday and will be closed Thursday through Saturday for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  We will reopen Monday, Nov 26 at 10 am for our usual hours.   Baldwin Boettcher Library Staff would like to wish you all a wonderful Thanksgiving!

Monday at The Little Blue Library

Today is Monday, Nov 12, and we will have another busy day at Baldwin Boettcher’s Little Blue Library.  At 10:30 am we have Story Time in the Gardens.  It is for ages 2 to 6 years old and will take place under the Tree House.  This week’s theme is “Leaves”.  Then at 4 pm we will have “DIY Wizard Hats” for children and tweens ages 6 to 11 years.

The Little Blue Library is Open Saturdays

The Baldwin Boettcher Branch Library is now open on Saturday’s from 10 am to 5 pm, and today, Saturday, Nov 10 at 1 pm our staff would like to welcome all customers for a Colonial food tasting program. Our library customers will have the opportunity to sample traditional Colonial dishes of the United States of America. Join us for this early Thanksgiving celebration hosted by our beloved Cindy Groover.   We will serve the food under the Mercer Office Building on the East side of the Mercer Park.
