You're all welcome to trick or treat at the library tomorrow! Just stop by the customer service desk anytime during our open hours (10am-6pm) and we will hand out goodies. We can't wait to see you in your creative costumes!

Teen Time: Creative Writing

Join us on Thursday, October 25th at 4:30pm for a Teen Creative Writing program!

Meet up with other writers. Share tips, tricks, and how to deal with any writing issues that arise.

Homeschool Support Group

Homeschoolers! Join us this Saturday for our Homeschool Support Group.

Each month will have a different theme for discussion with suggested materials. Readings are NOT required. Please bring your own experiences and knowledge and join in on our discussions.

Variety of backgrounds, religious beliefs, and lifestyles are encouraged. We come with an open mind and words of encouragement. Reflect, pick brains, grow, and plan for the future.

Coffee and tea provided.

Join us for an interactive storytime, crafts, games and ancient traditions on Tuesday, October 23rd from 4:45pm-5:45pm. This program is for children ages 5-12. To participate, please pick up a free ticket at the children's information desk 15 minutes prior to the program. Children must be present to receive a ticket. Program will be held in our Robin Bush Activity Room.

Stuffed Animal Sleepover!

STUFFED ANIMAL SLEEPOVER!

(for ages 5-12)

What do you think your stuffed animals will do at a library sleepover?

Bring your favorite stuffed animal to a story time and then leave them with us to have a sleepover at the library!

Pick up your friend the next day and see all the fun things they did on our Facebook page!

Pumpkin Coloring Contest!

All kids are invited to decorate and color a pumpkin in October! Coloring pages are available at the first floor customer service desk. 

We will choose a winner for the following categories:

-Most Creative
-Most Original
-Silliest Face
-Scariest Face
-Staff Pick

Winners will receive a TRICK OR TREAT prize pack.

Contest ends on Monday, October 22nd. Please returned colored pumpkins at the Customer Service Desk on the first floor. 

Take a Trip Back to 1968 This Saturday, Oct. 6th!

This Saturday, the Barbara Bush Branch Library will host a special event, Living History: 1968 with our partners from the Tomball Community Library. It's been 50 years since 1968, which was a year jam packed with major historical events, important pop culture developments and space exploration. Join us to learn all about this pivotal year in our history.

The exhibit will be open this Saturday, Oct. 6th from 10:30am-2:30pm. 

Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month!

1. Check out books from our Hispanic Heritage display in the Children's department. Encourage your child to learn about a different culture, or read more about their own!
