Due to a power outage in the area, LSC-CyFair campus, including the library, will close tonight (8/23/16) at 8:00 p.m. Campus should resume normal operations tomorrow morning.

Fall ESL Classes

learn englishLSC-CyFair Library offers free English classes for speakers of other languages. Students practice reading, writing, listening, and speaking.

All students must register in person and take a placement test on one of the dates listed below. Students will be contacted in the first week of September with their class information.

Cafes Closed for Renovations

cafe closed for renovationsThe Cyber Cafe and Lakeside Cafe will both be closing on Thursday, June 23rd at 1:30pm to begin renovations. A reopening date has not been set. In the meantime, vending machines are still available in the library and in other campus buildings.

FEMA & Programs Scheduled in LRNC 131

updateFEMA will continue to offer  services in LRNC 131 for a while longer, so programs currently scheduled in LRNC 131 will temporarily move to LRNC 144 (in the student life area) during this time.  

If you are attending a program in LRNC 131 or have scheduled to use LRNC 131, please contact the library for updated information.

Plant Swap

plant swapJoin us for a plant swap at this week's LIFE Workshop.

Bring up to three established plants (no cuttings, please) to trade. Each participant will get a number. A random drawing will determine the first person to start the swap. That initial person can pick any plant. The owner of the plant chosen goes second, and this process continues until everything is selected.

Then use your smartphone, tablet, or computer to read, watch, or listen.
