Teens' Maker Monday: Personalized Journals!

This Monday, January 22, from 5:00 - 6:30 PM, you can create your own unique journal for 2018!   This year, try a bullet journal, a wreck it journal, or a traditional journal with a customized cover. Bring your own notebook or use one supplied by the Friends of the Library; craft materials will be supplied, and we will be using a Cricut machine to cut out vinyl decals for our journal covers. While you're making your new journal, enjoy snacks and a movie. This month's movie is about a teenage girl, whose journal is accidentally published, and then read by everyone at school! Students in grades 6-12 can call or visit the library to sign up.

Teen Tech: DrawBot!

Do you like to draw?  Have you ever wondered what it would be like to use a robot to draw for you?  Or wait, maybe you love technology, but you lack artistic experience, and are hesitant to draw.  Finch robots offer you an alternative way to draw, full of exciting and fun new challenges.  Using basic computer coding, you can program a Finch robot to create a unique drawing, write your name, or play a game of tic-tac-toe.  Best of all, no experience is necessary, and students will gain practical experience in robotics and coding!.  Students in grades 6-12 are invited to sign up to attend this Teen Tech program.  Don't miss it, this Saturday 1/20, from 3:00 - 4:30 PM.  You can sign up by calling or visiting the Fairbanks Library.
