About

National Chocolate Month coming to a close.

National Chocolate Month is coming to a close.  The 1st week brought us 151 customers who enjoyed chocolate candy bars.  During week 2, 206 customers enjoyed Hersey's Hugs and Kisses to celebrate Valentine's day and National Chocolate Month.  This week 155 customers enjoyed brownies to celebrate their birthdays, unbirthdays and National Chocolate Month.  So join us next week to celebrate National Chocolate Month with tootsie rolls.

See you next week.  Which day?  Maybe you will have to come in every day and see us to find out.

It's Coming together or should I say apart?

Have you seen the latest?  We have completed step 3 in the new arrangement of the library.  We have a huge children's area for everyone to enjoy.  Tables and chairs are placed farther apart and we are anxious to have our first Summer Reading Program where everyone may sit and enjoy the show.  There is still more work to be done so pardon our mess and come in to enjoy our library.  If you have any suggestions, please feel free to let us know.  Look at the bulletin boards, no, they are not new just in a different place for all to enjoy.

February is National Chocolate Month

Attention all you chocolate lovers!   February is National Chocolate Month.  So watch for the special items

that will be given out during the month.  Surprise, all of the special items will include something chocolate.

Once a week  we will be giving out something chocolate.  Can not tell you what item or which day so that

you will come see us often in the month of February.

Meet Your Atascocita Staff: Beth

Welcome to the Meet the Staff series in 2015.  You've seen us around the library and probably spoken with several of us, but here are a few items you may not know about your Atascocita Library staff.  Once each month, you'll get to learn just a little bit about the people who bring great programs and library services to this area of Harris County.

I'll be starting us off.

Changes @ ALD

We are getting ready for some changes at the Aldine Library! Staff have been busy emptying shelves and moving books in preparation for the big move. The library will look different when we open on Friday, January 9th. Collections will be shifted and shelving will be removed. Come and see!

Turning Things Around

There are some changes going on at Aldine. We are in the process of shifting books. As Bonnie noted in her blog, the Romance section has moved. Soon, we will remove some shelving. All this is being done to maintain the library, streamline the collection, and better serve you. Happy Holidays!

Romance is in the air!

Yes, romance is in the air!  We have moved the romance paperbacks to a new location and you are going to love it!

Now the paperback romance books are on an outside aisle.  The lighting is better and the books are easier to find.

We are in the process of pulling more of the romance paperbacks we did not have room for in this section so they will be easier to find.

Come check out the movement of our books and give us your comments.  We are always looking for ways to improve.
