Project Peep Ending Soon at North Channel

Project PeepProject Peep is sadly coming to a close here at North Channel Library. Stop by anytime during open hours to see them in the brooder near the front desk.
We will have our final goodbyes on Saturday, March 25th at 10:30 AM at our Project Peep Reunion Party in the Public Meeting Room. The farmer will be here from Blue Star Ranch, and the Foster Families will also share their fun memories and scientific journals. There will also be light refreshments and cake at the party.

We Love Our Friends!

The Barbara Bush Library is very lucky to have a very involved Friends of the Library group. Our Friends help us raise funds for programming and supplies, staff Al & Polly's Bookstore by volunteering, and help us continue to grow with and for our community.

The staff at the Barbara Bush Library would like to take this opportunity to thank our Friends for all the support they provide whether it is funds, volunteer hours, or just being a friendly face. We get by with A LOT of help from our Friends! The next time you visit our library, be sure to stop by the Earl Elliott Meeting Room to see what our staff has written about the Barbara Bush Library Friends!

Coming Soon: Project Peep!

We have eggs-citing news! Project Peep is coming to the Barbara Bush Library!

In March, we will be incubating eggs, watching as they hatch and learning about eggs and chickens in fun programs.
But, we need your help! We are looking for foster parents for the baby chicks. Children must be between 7-12 years old to sign up as a foster parent.

Recovering the Classics [UPDATE]

A lot of people enjoyed creating new artwork or voting on their favorites for Recovering the Classics. And we love it when we have so many people show so much interest in such a wonderful idea. Originally we had decided to award the creations with the most votes a classic book featuring their artwork. In the end we decided that all of our participants were so creative and had worked so hard on their entires that they all needed to be rewarded. So everyone who participated will be receiving a classic book featuring their own artwork and they'll get to take home the print that was created for the program.
