Baby Playtime this Friday, August 3 at 10:00 am

Looking for a fun Friday morning outing for you and baby?  Join us this Friday, August 3 at 10:00 am for Baby Playtime.   This program is recommended for children from infants through 18 months old.  It features toys, books, and bubbles.  It is held in the Children's Activitiy Space.  No tickets are needed for this program.  Thank you to the Frends of Freeman Library for their generous support through the years.

Wild Things Zoofari visits Freeman Library on Thursday, August 2 @ 2:30 & 3:30 pm

Thursday is our last big program day for the 2018 Summer Reading Program.  To celebrate, we have some fun and exotic anmals to learn about and see up close!  Wild Things Zoofari visits us on Thursday, August 2 at 2:30 & 3:30 pm with an assortment of amazing animals!  Come see if they bring a toucan, a lemur, a wallaby or any other of a number of fantastic animals!

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Fest. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2018. This free event requires no registration.

On Friday, August 3 at 10:15 AM, the Summer Film Fest continues with a 1963 musical comedy about a rock singer who travels to a small Ohio town to make his "farewell" television performance and kiss his biggest fan before he is drafted. This unrated film which stars Dick Van Dyke, Ann-Margret, and Janet Leigh lasts 112 minutes.

Toddlers-in-Motion this Friday, July 27 @ 10:15 am

Looking for a chance for you and your toddler to hang out with other toddlers and their families?  Join us this Friday, July 27 at 10:15 am for Toddlers in Motion.  Toddlers are encouraged to dress comfortably as they will be dancing and singing as they learn.   They then will have a playtime with some amazing toys.   This program is recommended for children 18 months to 3 years old.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available at the Kids Information Desk when we open at 10:00 am.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for their generous support of this program.

Pajama Storytime on Thursday, July 26 @ 6:00 pm

   Looking for a fun outing for the family on Thursday evening?  Join us for Pajama Storytime at 6:00 pm this Thursday, July 26.   This storytime features books, songs, and a craft.  Children are welcome to wear pajamas, slippers, and bring a favorite blanket.   Tickets are required.  They are free and available at 5:30 pm.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for their support of this program.

Texas Bugs visit Freeman Library on Thursday, July 26 @ 2:30 & 3:30 pm

  The Houston Museum of Natural Science brings Texas Bugs to Freeman Library on Thursday, July 26 for shows at 2:30 & 3:30 pm.  We'll learn about a variety of Texas bugs and even get to see some up close!  This program is recommended for children 5-12 years old.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available starting 30 minutes before each show.  Animal shows are popular, so we recommend that children and their adult arrive about 20 minutes before we give out tickets.  Due to space limitations, we do not admit strollers in the performance room.  We can sercure them at another location.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for their generous support for this program.

On Friday, July 27 at 10:15 AM, the Summer Film Fest continues with a 1962 musical comedy about how Harold Hill poses as a boys' band leader to con naive Iowa townsfolk. This unrated film which stars Robert Preston, Shirley Jones, and Buddy Hackett lasts 151 minutes.

Crocodile Encounter visits Freeman Library on Thursday, July 19 @ 2:30 & 3:30 pm

 Looking to hang out with a baby alligator, a snake or two and some other fun reptiles?  Join us on Thursday, July 19 for a visit from Crocodile Encounter at 2:30 & 3:30 pm.  This program is recommended for children 5 years and older.   We'll learn some fantastic facts about the animals and then we'll get a chance to touch some of them.  Tickets are required.  They're free and available 30 minutes before each session.  This program is popular, so children and their adult may want to arrive about 20 minutes before the tiickets are to be given out.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for their support of this program.

Adults - July Crafts-To-Go are Here!

Adults - Stop by the upstairs Reference Desk and pick up an Adult Crafts-To-Go kit. This month, we’ll be making magnetic bookmarks (see picture). This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last.
