June Adult Crafts-To-Go Project!

Adults - stop by the upstairs Reference Desk, to pick up an Adult Crafts-To-Go kit. For this month, we're making a picture frame (see picture). This free kit will include all materials necessary as well as instructions. This project will be available to adult patrons while supplies last.

Adults - Please join us Monday @ 1:00 PM for the Build a Better World - Adult Summer Reading Program Kickoff! Learn how you can - "Read! Do! Earn! Win!" Party supported by the Friends of Freeman Library

Summer Reading Program 2017 starts on Monday, June 5

The 2017 Summer Reading Program officially starts on Monday, June 5.   The theme this year is "Build a Better World".   Children will be able to read and do activties to earn points towards a variety of rewards. Children can earn 5 points by reading 20 minutes, writing a review of a book, or doing an activity.  They can earn 10 points by reading a whole book.  Here are the rewards: 100 points - a fun sticker; 200 points - a Chipotle gift card; 300 points - a "Build a Better World" magnet; 400 points - a book from our treasure chest; and 500 points - an amazing medal.

Teens: Open House for Summer Volunteers in the Children's Department on Friday, June 2 @ 4:00 pm or Monday, June 5 @ 7:30 pm

Teens:  Now that you're out of school, you can drop by Freeman Library on Friday, June 2 at 4:00 pm or Monday, June 5 @ 7:30 pm to find out about volunteer opportunities at Freeman Library.  We'll have all the volunteer shifts listed so that you can put your name down for volunteer time this summer.   Parents are welcome to attend.

TGIF Programs Summer Film Festival Kicks Off Friday!

TGIF Programs invites adults of all ages to join us for our Summer Film Festival. We will be showing films on various dates during Summer 2017. This free event requires no registration.

We look forward to showing on Friday, June 2 at 10:15 AM High Society, the 1956 musical comedy, starring Bing Crosby, Grace Kelly, and Frank Sinatra.

Summer Volunteer Open House for Teens on Thursday, June 1 and Friday, Jun2 at 4:00 pm

Teens looking for volunteer time this summer can drop by the Children's Department on Thursday, June 1 or Friday, June 2 at 4 pm to attend a volunteer open house.  We'll have a brief talk about volunteer guidelines and then teens can sign up for volunteer time this summer.  To help coordinate busy family schedules, parents are welcome to attend!

Thursday Theater returns on Thursday, May 25 @ 4:30 pm

The Children's Department will by showing a recently released animated movie featuring an ancient Polynesian girl on Thursday, May 25 at 4:30 pm.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available in the Children's Department starting 30 minutes before the program.
