Summer Volunteer Open House for Teens on Thursday, June 1 and Friday, Jun2 at 4:00 pm

Teens looking for volunteer time this summer can drop by the Children's Department on Thursday, June 1 or Friday, June 2 at 4 pm to attend a volunteer open house.  We'll have a brief talk about volunteer guidelines and then teens can sign up for volunteer time this summer.  To help coordinate busy family schedules, parents are welcome to attend!

Thursday Theater returns on Thursday, May 25 @ 4:30 pm

The Children's Department will by showing a recently released animated movie featuring an ancient Polynesian girl on Thursday, May 25 at 4:30 pm.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available in the Children's Department starting 30 minutes before the program.  

TGIF Programs Friday Film Series Celebrates Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month This Friday!

Adults - The TGIF Programs Friday Film Series continues Friday at 10:15 AM. In recognition of Asian - Pacific American Heritage Month, we look forward to showing Flower Drum Song, the 1961 musical comedy starring Nancy Kwan, James Shigeta, and Benson Fong.

Tomorrow @ 6:30 PM - Lead a More Positive and Fulfilling Life With Meditation

Experience for yourself how meditation can change your life. Join Daya Sharma long time meditator who has been inspiring audiences with his engaging workshops. Come learn a simple meditation technique that can be used daily for greater peace, energy, and well-being.The Friends of Freeman Library support this program. 

 

Baby Playtime on Friday, May 19 at 10:00 am

Babies (infants through 18 months old) and their grownups will enjoy hanging out this Friday, May 19 at 10:00 am for Baby Playtime.  This program features board books, toys, bubbles and a cute art project.  The babies will be using their fingerprints to make "spots" on a giraffe craft.   No tickets are needed for this outing.   Special thanks to the Freinds of Freeman Library for supporting this program throughout the years.
 

Open House for Summer Teen Volunteers on Saturday, May 20 @ 2 pm

Teens looking for volunteer time this summer are welcome to drop by the Children's Activity Space on Saturday, May 20 at 2 pm to find out about volunteer opportunities this summer.  There will be a talk of 20 minutes to outline volunteer expectations.  Then teens can put their names down for specific volunteer shifts during the summer.   Parents are welcome to attend.

Asian Pacific American Heritage Month Celebration on Thursday, May 18 @ 4:30 pm

  Children from babies through 12 years old will enjoy celebrating Asian Pacific Heritage Month at Freeman Library this Thursday, May 18 @ 4:30 pm.   We'll have  crafts, music, activities and foods from a variety of nations in Asia.  Tickets are required.  They are free and available in the Children's Dept. at 4:00 pm.  Thank you to the Friends of Freeman Library for supporting this program and others throughout the year.

Senior Adults - Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM for 6/8 Trip!

Senior Adults -  Registration Opens Tomorrow @ 10 AM for a day trip on Thursday, June 08. The Precinct2gether bus will depart from the Freeman Library parking lot. Please plan for plenty of walking and wear comfortable, rubber-soled shoes.
