- About Me
Greetings! My name is Deborah Sica. I received my Library and Information Science degree from San José State University, one of the pioneering models of a blended public and academic library. I have been in Information Management & Library Science for over a decade. My career began in Research & Archival Preservation, but I quickly came to know that the public library was the best fit for my professional outlook. I began my career with Harris County Public Library at the Katherine Tyra Branch and soon found myself managing the lively and active Northwest Branch. As of August 2012, I have been serving as the Co-Director of Lone Star College - Tomball Community Library. The community support is tremendous and the Friends of the Library organization betters the library in so many ways. I look forward to many years of diverse cultural programming, early childhood literacy for all children, creating a safe and comfortable place for teenagers, addressing the needs of technology-demanding world for adults and working to support the rich local history of the great city of Tomball. See you in the library!
