We are excited to announce that the Baldwin Boettcher Friends Group will be holding the first book sale since before Hurricane Harvey, on Saturday, October 5th during Mercer Botanic Gardens “Pollinator Festival” from 10 am to 4 pm. All proceeds will benefit library programs. We are accepting donations at this time of gently used books, CDs, and DVDs. We are unable to accept encyclopedias, textbooks, cassettes, VHS or any other out of date media. It will be a great way to help the Little Blue Library with programs that they have been continually providing to the surrounding community. It has been a pleasure to see so many of our loyal patrons and new ones too that continually come in to pick up their holds and participate in programs. We look forward to seeing you again, and do appreciate all that you do for us.
Harris County Public Library gets by with a LOT of help from our friends. All HCPL branches have Friends groups that support library programs and activities in many ways. Becoming a Library Friend is a great way to get more involved with your neighborhood branch and to give back to your community at the same time.
