Harris County Public Library Presents Authorama

To close out its 2020 Summer Reading Program, Harris County Public Library (HCPL) will be hosting a slate of online author talks by local and nationally-known writers and illustrators including Andrew Aydin, creator of the New York Times bestselling and National Book Award winning graphic novel MARCH, poet and memoirist Saeed Jones, author of young adult bestseller American Panda, Gloria Chao, prolific children’s book author Chris Barnes and former Houston Poet Laureate Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton among others. All of the author talks will give the audience a chance to interact with the authors in a question and answer format following the presentation.

“HCPL wanted, first and foremost, to celebrate talented and compelling authors,” says Jennifer Schwartz, Programming Services Manager for HCPL, “but also ones who can share their own experiences with issues that are crucially important to people right now.”

HCPL Summer Authorama programs will be presented on Harris County Public Library’s Facebook Live (@harriscountypl). All are free and open to the public. No registration is required.
