Did the conjunction of Jupiter and Saturn have you looking up at the night sky a bit more than usual? A gif of constellations including CassiopeiaI know that I did! It was the first visible occurrence from earth of these planets aligning as they orbit the sun in more than 800 years! I find that taking a break from my phone/computer/TV screens to take a walk outside and look up at the sky usually brings me a bit of peace and joy. One of my favorite things to do is look for constellations. During the winter months Cassiopeia, Taurus, and Orion are all visible!

Speaking of taking a break from screen time, we’ve got a simple craft to share with you that will bring the cosmos indoors! This Paper Star Craft is a cute, fun, and easy way to pass the time, & an inexpensive way to decorate to boot! All you need is 8 paper bags, a pair of scissors, and some glue. Watch this video to learn more. Aldine patrons can give us a call to schedule a curbside pickup for a craft kit to make a paper star at home: 832-927-5410
