Harris County Public Library in partnership with Rice University's Texas Policy Lab is offering a great brain-building opportunity for parents and caregivers with babies 18 to 30 months old.
We all talk to our babies. It's natural. But what if you could make those everyday interactions even better? What if you could learn simple tips that would have huge benefits for your baby's early brain development, language skills, social and emotional development, and intelligence? You would jump on it, right? Well, here's your chance and it's completely free.
It's called LENA Start.
LENA Start is a FREE 10-week program that teaches parents and caregivers with babies from 18 to 30 months of age how to build their babies' brains through everyday actions and conversations. During our fall session, qualifying families will receive $100 from Rice University. English LENA sessions will start Saturday, September 17 at 11 a.m.
LENA Start combines in-person instruction and easy-to-use technology to nurture the kind of back-and-forth talk between caregiver and baby that builds babies' brains and prepares them for success in school and life. Learn more about LENA Start below.
