History

When the Library opened in 1977, Aldine was a small, semi-rural community. It has seen considerable growth since then and the Aldine Branch Library has grown right along with it to serve the area's diverse and ever-changing population.

A renovation in 2001 more than doubled the library's size and allowed us to offer new resources and programming to our customers while providing a larger and wider range of materials. Over the years, the Aldine Branch Library has added computers, internet access, and WiFi, as well as learning opportunities like English Language Acquisition and citizenship classes. The library continues to serve the community and strives to be a vital resource where customers can take advantage of access to information, books, movies, computers, programs, and education.
